When you order likes, views or comments on FollowersFan, we need the link to one specific post or reel. Copying that link only takes a few taps, but the steps look a little different depending on whether you use an iPhone, an Android phone or a computer. This guide covers all three, plus how to make sure the link you copied is the right one.
One quick note before we begin: Instagram updates its app and website from time to time, so button names and menu positions can change. The general approach below should still apply even if the layout on your screen looks slightly different.
What an Instagram post or reel link looks like
A post or reel link points to a single piece of content, not your whole profile. It usually starts with the Instagram web address, followed by a short path and a code that identifies that specific post or reel.
A profile link, on the other hand, ends with your username. If you are ordering Instagram likes, views or comments, make sure you are copying a post or reel link, not your profile link. For followers, you only need your username.
How to copy a link on iPhone
To copy a post or reel link in the Instagram app on an iPhone:
- Open the Instagram app and go to the post or reel you want to use.
- Look for the Share option (often a paper airplane icon) or the menu (three dots) near the post.
- In the options that appear, tap Copy link.
- You should see a short confirmation that the link was copied to your clipboard.
You can now paste the link into the order form by pressing and holding in the text field and choosing Paste.
If you do not see Copy link right away, try scrolling sideways or down in the share sheet. Depending on your app version, it may be listed among other sharing options.
How to copy a link on Android
The steps on Android are very similar:
- Open the Instagram app and find the post or reel.
- Tap the Share option or the menu (three dots) on the post.
- Choose Copy link from the list.
- Paste it into the order form by long-pressing the text field and selecting Paste.
Some Android phones show their own sharing panel on top of Instagram's options. If that happens, look for a copy option within that panel, or go back and look for Copy link in Instagram's own menu.
How to copy a link on a computer
If you use Instagram in a web browser on a desktop or laptop, you have two easy options.
Option 1: Use the address bar
- Open the post or reel so it is showing on its own page or in a pop-up view.
- Click the address bar at the top of your browser.
- Select the full address and copy it (Ctrl + C on Windows, Command + C on Mac).
Option 2: Use the post menu
- Find the menu (three dots) on the post.
- Click Copy link if it is available.
Either method gives you a link you can paste into the order form.
If you browse Instagram on a tablet, the steps are usually the same as on a phone. In the app, use the Share option or the menu (three dots) and choose Copy link. In a tablet web browser, you can copy the address from the address bar just as you would on a computer.
Copying a link from someone else's share
Sometimes the post you want to use was shared with you in a message, or you saved the link somewhere earlier. That is fine, as long as it still opens the exact post or reel you have in mind. Before using it, open the link once to confirm it loads the right content and that the post has not been deleted or archived since it was shared.
How to check that your link is correct
Before you paste the link into an order, take a few seconds to check it:
- Open it in a private or incognito browser window. If the post or reel loads without you being logged in, the content is publicly visible.
- Make sure it is the right post. It is easy to copy a link from the wrong item when you have several similar posts.
- Confirm it is a post or reel link, not a profile link. A profile link will show your whole profile instead of a single piece of content.
- Remove anything extra. Links sometimes include extra tracking text at the end. This is usually fine, but if the link looks unusually long, you can test that the shorter version still opens the same post.
Common problems and how to fix them
The link opens a login page. This often means the account is private, or the post is not publicly visible. Switch the account to public while your order is being processed. Our guide on public vs private accounts explains what to check.
The link shows "page not available." The post may have been deleted, archived or restricted. Try copying the link again from the post itself.
Copy link is missing. App layouts change. Try the Share option instead of the menu, update the Instagram app, or use the desktop browser method.
I copied my profile instead of a post. Go back into the specific post or reel and copy the link from there.
Next steps
Once you have the right link, you are ready to order. Head to the service you need, paste the link, add your email, and review your order before secure checkout. If you get stuck at any point, visit our Help center or contact us at support@followersfan.com.
Can I use my profile link to order likes or views?
No. Likes, views and comments are applied to a single post or reel, so you need the link to that specific content. For followers, you only need your public username.
Why does my link ask me to log in when I open it?
This usually means the account is private or the content is restricted. Make sure your account and the post are public while your order is being processed.
The Instagram app looks different from these steps. What should I do?
Instagram changes its layout from time to time. Look for a Share option or the three-dot menu on the post and choose Copy link, or use the address bar method in a web browser.
